The child’s story of the grumpy lion caused by a thorn in his foot. A mouse removes the thorn from the mighty beast’s paw, the lion became happy.
In life, not a child’s fable, as a thorn festers, removing the thorn is not enough. Giving the lion a pill that works in his brain to relieve pain does not remove the thorn or the festering. The thorn needs to be removed yes. More may be needed.
Relief of Pain for many is inescapable and constant. Pain, may be an invited or uninvited guest, and may become a permanent resident. Pain has many faces and ushers in a tide of suffering. These forces work together against our cell membranes, cells, organs, body, mind, emotions and spirit creating a sense of no way out, an unrelenting cascade of misery.
